This cookware set offers the essential pieces you need to cook everything from eggs, fish and steak to sauces, sides, pasta, braises and more. Testers loved using it to reheat leftovers as well.

QUALITY AND DESIGN: These pans feel sturdy and balanced in the hand and sit evenly on both gas and induction burners. They conducted heat well and were able to bring a large pot of water to a rolling boil. They have some heft to them but are still light enough to move around and to wash without strain. The sauce pan and braising pan both have helper handles that make it easier to perform tasks like removing from heat or transferring to the oven, and the lids fit nicely. One tester said they "really liked the shape and length of the handle on the skillet and most of the pots; they were easy to grip."

HIGH PERFORMANCE: In our lab tests, the pans heated evenly and maintained a steady simmer. The handles stayed cool when we gently cooked a tomato sauce for 20 minutes without stirring; plus, there were no remnants on the bottom of the pan after we rinsed it clean with running water. Steak browned nicely and evenly. According to the manufacturer, each piece is oven-safe up to 400ºF, so you can start cooking recipes on the stove and finish them in the oven. Testers tried this method with salmon and chicken and were pleased with the results.

EFFECTIVE NONSTICK COATING: In our lab tests, eggs and pancakes released easily from the skillet when we cooked each over medium heat with no added fats. One at-home tester said it had "an exceptional nonstick surface: Eggs, French toast and veggies just slide off."

EASY TO CLEAN: The inside of the pans wiped clean in our tests and didn't leave behind any residue when we washed them with soap and water. Some staining did occur on the outside of the pan when used over higher heat, which is common when it comes to stainless steel, and the pots and pans are not dishwasher safe.
