Project description: Calibre acquired Behavioral Health Hospital in August 2019. Originally purchased for US$12 million, the hospital is undergoing a comprehensive refurbishment of US$11.3 million completed by Calibre Development and Construction. This 96-bed facility is located in the Opportunity Zone near downtown Phoenix and will take care of patients with medical and mental illnesses. For behavioral health, Phoenix is one of the country’s first investments in medical opportunity zones, which the community urgently needs. The Phoenix Neuropsychiatric Hospital will open in 2020 and is expected to bring 80 high-income jobs to the area. Calibre will acquire more behavioral health hospitals in the Opportunity Zone throughout the Southwest.

Project description: The reconstruction/renovation of Cherokee Elementary School is a three-phase project. First, two new teaching buildings will be constructed and the design, safety and security of the existing campus will be updated. Project description: Cives Corporation is one of the largest and most successful steel structure and sheet manufacturers in North America. It recently built a new steel manufacturing plant on the former Rose Garden in El Mirage, Arizona. This new manufacturing plant covers an area of 25 acres and includes a new railroad branch line for importing and exporting materials by rail, transporting and receiving yards, and is equipped with multiple crane tracks, a 58,257 square foot main building, and five Special equipment annexes are used as part of the manufacturing process, large internal bridge cranes and blasting areas for steel preparation.

Project description: Creighton Elementary School was built in 1884 and is deeply rooted in the history of Phoenix. CHASSE completed the reconstruction of the school, replacing traditional classrooms with open and collaborative learning spaces. This new format will enable students to explore, work together, and better prepare for the future. The new campus has three modern two-story buildings, a new gymnasium, cafeteria, upgrade of the sports field, a community garden area and an amphitheater. There is a learning laboratory in the building, which replaces the traditional classroom space, learning stairs for teaching and gathering, numerous rest spaces and two internal slides!

The high school has three two-story teaching buildings, built on a concrete foundation, supported by footings and masonry walls. The structural frame is composed of CMU blocks and steel; the external facing insulation system is covered with painted CMU blocks and Kalwall insulation for light transmission Plates, metal panels and PVC roofs. The project also has two parking lots, an outdoor basketball court, and a sports field with grandstand seats. For students in grades 7-8, the junior high school is a two-story teaching building with laboratories, maker spaces, and teacher rest spaces, with outdoor learning stairs, awnings, and concrete CIP benches.

Project description: The new hotel will be built in the Opportunity Zone and will be connected to the Tucson Convention Center. Project description: The four-story student success building will become a centralized building for student service, guidance, counseling and career counseling. It is the only new building in the project, and the rest of the project includes the renovation of the main library, the Albert B. Weaver Science and Engineering Library and the Bear Down Gym. The new district encourages students to move seamlessly between spaces that provide a full range of services and expertise, enabling them to achieve academic and professional goals. Project description: Walter Douglas Elementary School is undergoing major renovations. A 40,000-square-foot two-story building has been added to the flying-themed campus, providing 24 new classrooms, maker spaces, media centers, and computer laboratories! The new architectural elements will be reminiscent of aircraft structures through the metal exterior. The original building structure was designed by John A. Shaver, who used a thin-shell concrete roof in the circular classroom pod to give the structure a clamshell-like effect. The Flowing Wells Unified School District is committed to maintaining this rich history and has included two roofs in the redesign of the campus.
